The language that made me fall in love with languages and linguistics was English. The first time I remember consciously trying to learn the language was when my mom brought home a pile of English comics that my primary school no longer needed. I liked English classes from the start, but truly fell in love with the language after I started reading the Harry Potter books in English when I was fourteen.
Started learning it at school when I was thirteen. I don’t know exactly why, but I loved it immediately. This was the first language I voluntarily took courses in.
A rather random choice, but my greatest hobby at the moment. Picked it randomly when I decided to try and learn another, but more unique language, because I liked the way it looked. I have since visited Norway several times and fallen in love with the culture.
I followed the subject throughout secondary school, but did not like it much until my second to last year, when I got an inspiring teacher and gained more literary knowledge in addition.
